Ok I am soooo far behind! I haven't blogged since the end of the August! So pretty much you guys are going to get a LOT of pictures and some brief descriptions. I will try to do better in the future!
Cedar Mountain we took a break from cutting wood and let the girls ride some horses it was so cute they loved it!

Sheridyn did the cheer camp at Cedar High School and performed for the first quarter of the Homecoming game.

One of my Bday presents was tickets to Thriller at the Tuacahn! It was soooo fun! I've never been before and I loved it, I will make it a goal to go to a show every year now.

Happy Halloween! Sheridyn was Strawberry Shortcake and Jaylee was a scarecrow or "coco cake" is what she called herself. The weather was so nice for Halloween this year and the girls loved trick or treating.

Halloween Bunko!

Our annual couples Halloween party was so great this year. Dani let us use the Zumba studio so we got to invite more friends. We played minute to win it games and had so yummy food. Everyone looked awesome.
Pumpkin Fest

ZOMBIE ZUMBA! What a blast!

My Mom took the girls and I to Disney on Ice this year. The girls (and me) loved it. Even Jaylee didn't move through the whole show. We had a wonderful time.

Sheridyn turned 5! I really can't believe I have a 5 year old. WOW. We had a Fancy Nancy Tea Party. We played tea party, painted our fingernails, danced, and decorated castles. The girls had a great time.

My friend Jamie's little girl had a birthday party the day of our Safari Zumba so we got our faces painted at the party! Don't we look awesome.

Santa came to Sheridyn's preschool he was so great. Jaylee wouldn't sit on the Santa's lap at the Festival of Trees but this one she liked. So cute!

Cookies for Santa!

Christmas morning! Sheridyn told Santa she wanted a big pink ball for Christmas. So this is what she got. When she ran into the living room that morning she jumped right on the ball and bounced right off face first! It was pretty funny, luckily she didn't get hurt but she was a little more cautious getting on it again!

First Day of Preschool

Sheridyn started Preschool yesterday! She was sooo excited. She has the cutest teacher and they read the "Kissing Hand" story. She put a little heart stamp on their hands and told them if they kiss the heart it will go right to their mommy. Then if they put the heart on their cheek it was their mom giving them a kiss. Well Sheridyn had red heart smudges all over her cheek so she must have needed lots of kisses! They baked cookies in the shape of hands and put hershey's kisses in the middle of them. It was so much fun she loved all of it. Jaylee and I on the other hand missed her a lot. We went grocery shopping and did some errands around town to try to keep our minds off of it. I was a little teary watching her go, she is growing up way to fast! I want to keep her home in our little bubble, but I know she is ready to start school :(

Wedding

My little brother got married. It was a great day everything turned out so good. We spent all morning decorating my parents back yard for the reception wondering if we were going to get rained out! But it turned out to be a beautiful night and the clouds went right over us with no rain. Jackie and Colton were so happy. Sheridyn, Jaylee and Madison (Colton's new step-daughter) were flower girls and they were so cute! Sheridyn and Madi were dropping the flowers and Jaylee was right behind them picking them all up! It was so funny. The reception turned out great and lots of people came. Congratulations Colton and Jackie!

Jaylee is 2

Wow I am sooo behind! This summer has went by so fast and we have been enjoying every second we can. Which makes it impossible to find time to blog. After we came home from Hawaii we threw a luau for our family (and that Bates which are pretty much part of the fam) It was fun we all dressed Hawaiian we even got Casey in a sea shell bra! We had Kalua pork with pineapple salsa and other scrumptious treats. The girls looked so cute in their Hawaiian clothes we brought back for them.

A couple weeks later we went camping with James's brother Gerry and his family his mom and dad and my parents came up for a bit too. It was so much fun and relaxing. Sheridyn and Jaylee love their cousins and they had a blast playing together.

In July we did swimming lessons. It was so perfect at the SUU pool Sheridyn did her level 1 class and Jaylee and I did a mommy and me class right by them. So I could watch Sheridyn and swim with Jaylee at the same time. They both did so good. Jaylee loves the water ever since she was a baby I think she might be a little fish! It was really fun.

Sheridyn also did Tumbling classes in July and she loved it! She was actually pretty good too. Here is her bridge!

Also in July James's little brother got married in Tabiona! (Don't worry I didn't know where it was either!) It was really pretty and I think they will be really happy together. The next day we went swimming at James's uncles pool in Provo! Yes I said pool in Provo, and it was soooo nice! It had a waterslide and a waterfall you could jump off. Then back in the man made rock there were men and women restrooms with showers and everything. Next to it was a sweet gazebo with a huge fireplace and cooking area. It was the ultimate and we had a blast! This summer has turned out to be the summer of weddings! James's sister Sara got married in April then Jason and my little brother is getting married at the end of this month! CRAZY.

4th of July

At the end of July I had my 10 year reunion! We all went to the park with our families and had lunch then later that night we had a nice dinner as couples. It was fun, I just can't believe it's been 10 years!

Now to the reason I got on here to blog in the first place!! Jaylee turned 2 last week! So we had a "tutu" party. She was sooooo spoiled! She got a Barbie Jeep. Let me tell you why! I know she is not big enough to drive it herself but the weekend before her party we went camping up to the Red Desert with my family and all of the Bates family. It was so fun getting all of us together. Anyways Mary and Casey bought a Barbie jeep from her sister and brought it up there with us. Jaylee would NOT get out of the thing! She sat in it for hours just playing with her baby and pretending to drive. We had to pull her out of it to make her eat and sleep and she through the biggest fit! So we decided that that would buy her one for her birthday and guess what! She has been in the back yard sitting in it ever since. She LOVES it. She also got some cute clothes and books, a baby (which is the one that has to sit in the jeep with her), and Sheridyn got Jaylee a real gold fish named Bruce. We ate BBQ hamburgers and tutu cake! It was a fun birthday.

Today we went to Jaylee's 2 year old check up and guess what?!?!?! She is finally on the charts!! I can't tell you how excited I am to finally post that my little bean is in the 3%. YEAH We also got her ears pierced! She was so good, I thought she would fight me getting it done but I asked her if she wanted earrings like Sheridyn and she said "Ya" then I told her they would be hurt a little and she "ok". So we did it and they look so cute. She has a little pink diamond studs, they are adorable.

Sheridyn is getting her tonsils out on Thursday :( So there will be more posts to come.

Hawaii Vacation

James and I left the girls with my parents (thank you!) and went to Maui Hawaii for a week! It was sooo beautiful and relaxing. We had such a great time. We also celebrated out 9 year anniversary while we were there. Wow time goes by fast!

Our condo was right by the ocean. We had an amazing view from our patio it was so gorgeous. We did a lot of snorkeling and got to swim right next to some huge sea turtles! It was so awesome.

James had a blast snorkeling and body boarding. One day the waves were huge and he was playing in them all day until his board broke!
I loved just laying on the beach reading a book!

"The Road to Hana" this is a windy long road that drives through the tropical rainforest of Maui. There were so many beautiful sites to see including a black sand beach and huge waterfalls! One of which James and I jumped off of.

This was the night James and I decided to follow a trail that went over some rocks and then opened up to a beautiful little beach. We sat down on the rocks and started watching the sunset and noticed some surfers. As they got closer we realized the were nude surfers!! AAHHH little did we know we had wondered onto an unofficial nude beach. Pretty embarrassing!

Best snow cones in the world! The "Local Boys" put ice cream in the bottom and yummy cream on top they were to die for. We ate one like every day we were there!
The sunsets were spectacular. They all looked like a postcard!

We went to the "Drums of the Pacific Luau" it was so incredible. The food was great but the entertainment was even better. They had an amazing show with fire dancers and everything. We loved every minute.

New Car

Wow March and April have been so busy! First of all I got a new car! I am so excited. It is a Hyundai Elantra and it is so much fun. I think my favorite thing is the push button start. I only have to have the keys within so many feet and I can open the door and start the car which makes it so I am never searching in my purse for the keys! It really is so awesome it has leather seats, sunroof, navigation, usb, bluetooth, back up camera, 40 mpg seriously everything you could ask for. I am so spoiled, I love it.
Another fun thing that happened is my little sister in law Sara got married in the SLC temple on the first of April. So we decided to make a trip out of it and go to the Hogle Zoo while we were up there. The girls absolutely loved it they had so much fun. Jaylee was fascinated by the monkeys and Sheridyn was so excited to see the giraffes and elephants. Sheridyn was sitting by the glass of one of the monkey exhibits and a little monkey swung right over to her and sat by her on the other side of the glass so we hurried and sat Jaylee there and got a cute pic of them. We saw a gorilla eating a phone book! WHAT. The other gorilla was playing peek-a-boo with his blanket. There was a tiger laying right up against the glass having a nap. We saw a baby elephant but I think the most memorable part of the zoo was when James dropped his sunglasses into the turtle exhibit. I searched everywhere for a zoo keeper and couldn't find one. So we got creative and he held Sheridyn upside down by her feet over the railing to grab the sunglasses!! I know crazy but there wasn't anything in there that could hurt her. It was pretty funny, wish I would have been fast enough to get a pic of that for ya!Sara and Stetson's wedding was beautiful, they are seriously the cutest couples. At the reception they did a little dance and Sheridyn and Jaylee were having a blast twirling and dancing the music with their cousins. It was really fun to have most of them together.
That weekend my brother-in-law Jason was driving his Dad's truck home and got in a really bad accident. His trucked rolled at least 4 times and the whole truck was seriously smashed except for where he was sitting! Jason miraculously walked away from the accident with a few bruises and a broken finger! He was so blessed to be alive, but sadly all of Sara's decorations for the Orderville reception were in the truck :( But the reception turned out beautiful, I know my mother-in-law was going crazy trying to get a new cake and things but it worked out and was great. I also go to meet my new niece Roxee. She is the cutest little thing ever! So we had a pretty crazy month to say the least but for the most part it was all good things!

Snowmobiling

This weekend we went snowmobiling up to our cabin. I was a little nervous about how the girls were going to act since this was their first snowmobiling trip, but they loved it! I think they are used to riding four-wheelers and the Rhino since pretty much birth so it didn't even faze them. In fact they both loved it so much they fell asleep on the ride. It was such a beautiful day up there and there was tons of snow at the cabin. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for letting us borrow the snowmobiles we made some great memories this weekend.

Dumont

We just got back from an awesome 5 day trip to Dumont Sand Dunes in California. We go there every year for Presidents Day and enjoy the warm weather and camp on the sand dunes. This year was so much fun my whole family got to come this year. Mary and Casey Bates and their parents and Joey and Peter came. Ross and Mary came with their kids. The kids had a blast just playing in the sand and riding the little four wheeler around. Its really fun to go riding on the huge sand dunes and go buy fun things at the vendors and watch the rails got up Comp hill. It's such a rush to drive our Raptor up those huge sand hills at like 50 miles an hour. The weather was pretty decent we got a couple of wind storms and a little rain but for the most part the temperature was warm. The first night we were there the wind was blowing so hard we almost thought our toy hauler trailer was going to blow over. It was crazy but it made really nice smooth sand to ride on the next morning! We had a lot of fun it just went by way too fast and it was hard to come home from 60+ degrees temperature and sunny blue skies to the snow in Cedar City.
This was Sheridyn's first trip with her pink four-wheeler Santa Clause brought her. We have rode it several times around the neighborhood but this was the first time taking it out. She liked it but she's still learning to turn it by herself so we mostly just ride on the back of it with her.

Hello

Hello outside world! Have any of you missed us? I swear we have been home bound for 2 weeks. Sheridyn got strep throat and a nasty virus. Then Jaylee got the virus that turned into an ear infection and stomach flu. I have had a head cold and James too. We have not been able to do anything fun to blog about so I thought I would just get on here and let everyone know that we are alive. Hopefully we are all better by next week because we are going to Dumont sand dunes even if we are all sick still!

New Years Eve is my Dad's birthday so we always get together as a family and celebrate his birthday and New Years. This year the party was at our house and we had a yummy ham dinner and played bunko and wii all night. It really turned out to be a good party and no one fell asleep (accept the babies) before new years! On new years day we went sledding. Jaylee really liked it at first but then I think she got a little cold and she didn't want to do it anymore. Sheridyn on the other hand would have did it all day if we let her. She was having a blast she even pulled her sled back up the hill by herself a couple times. We had a fun time.

Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year. Sheridyn was so excited and it made Christmas so magical. Christmas Eve we went with my family to dinner at Applebees then we went swimming at a hotel where my brother works and played some games and Sheridyn and Jaylee did a little dance. It is so cute how Jaylee wants to be just like Sheridyn and she got up in front of everyone and just bounced to the music it was darling. Then in the morning Santa brought Sheridyn a pink four-wheeler and Jaylee a pink coupe car. Sheridyn has been asking for a pink four-wheeler for a couple of months so we thought she would be so excited but of course she went right for the pink coupe of Jaylee's and they have been fighting over it ever since. Haha what a morning! So after we saw what Santa brought we headed over to my parents house for opening presents and we stayed there all day. We really had a good Christmas this year and yes we got way to much stuff for Sheridyn and Jaylee they are so spoiled but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Dance Recital

Sheridyn had her dance recital for On Stage last night. She was so adorable!! She really did such a good job and she smiled and waved at us when she came out, it was so precious. My whole family and James parents and brother all came she had a whole cheering section. It was serious one of the highlights of my year. I was so proud of her she has no fear and just loves to get up there and perform.

We also went to East Elementary and saw Santa Claus. Sheridyn was so excited to tell him what she wanted for Christmas but then when he left she bawled because, "Santa didn't give me what I asked him for." I guess that is my bad, I should have explained more fully that we tell Santa what we want for Christmas and he brings it on Christmas Eve he doesn't give it to us right then. She was also worried about where he had left Rudolph. Jaylee was happy to see Santa and told him hi, she has been calling him "Ho Ho." But when he got to close she screamed and did not want to sit on his lap.

Decorating the Tree

Well we actually did this a couple last weekend but I'm just getting around to posting it. Sheridyn had a blast helping me and she actually did a really good job. Jaylee on the other hand just played in the ornaments but surprisingly she has not tried to undecorate it yet! For tradition we played Christmas music and ate cinnamon glazed almonds. It was a fun night.

We made this gingerbread house too. Sheridyn helped for about 5 minutes then she was bored so pretty much my mom and I did it ourselves but it was fun.

Thanksgiving and Sheridyn's Birthday

Wow what a busy week! So for Thanksgiving we went to the Hoyt family side. Which we do every year because James loves to play in the "Turkey Tournament." It is a basketball tournament for the Valley High School Alumni. Their team played really well. They won two of their games and barely lost one by a point right at the buzzer! We had a lot of fun with James' family and had great Thanksgiving dinner. James also had his 10 year reunion but he had to go stag because I was sick :( I was sad I couldn't go, but he said he had fun. I had to steal this pics from Amber's blog because I forgot my camera! Hope that's ok!

Then on Monday Sheridyn turned 4!! I really can not believe she is already 4 years old. It was so much fun. We decided to have 2 different parties. One on Monday night was for the family and we all went to Wendy's for dinner (Sheridyn's favorite!) Then we came back to our house for root beer floats and presents. She got so spoiled as usual and she was so excited for every present. James and I got her a "Belle" dress up. She seriously has not taken it off since! The funnest part of the night is that Jaylee figured out that Sheridyn was getting all the attention and so she turned into a show off. She was laughing and smiling at everyone and every time Sheridyn would get out of her chair she would hurry and get in it. It was really funny she has never did that before. Then we played a fun game where I played princess music and when the music stopped whoever was holding the wand had to put on a dress up item. It was a lot of fun.
Then on Tuesday we had a "Princess party" for her friends. Everyone dressed up as princesses and we played pin the kiss on the frog, ate pizza and cake, painted out fingernails and made princess crowns. It was a blast. All of the cute little girls were so good and played together so nice. Sheridyn had a blast and everyone looked so cute.

Busy October

October was super busy and it went by so fast! The best thing that happened this month is Jaylee started walking!! It is so nice to not have her crawling around anymore. We did several fun activities this month. We went to the pumpkin patch, the pumpkin fest, had a couples Halloween party, mine and James' birthdays, Halloween Bunko, the Halloween carnival and trick or treating. I have tons of pics I want to post on each thing!

First this is a picture of Jaylee in her cute outfit I made her for her birthday (in August). She was not a fan of the way the tulle felt on her so it took several different picture sessions for me to finally got a cute one.

Halloween Party

This year we hosted a Halloween party at our house. It was so much fun. I decorated the house with colored light bulbs and cobwebs and had scary music playing. Everyone brought a scary treat, we had spider web bean dip, bat (chicken) wings, cobweb brownies, a cauldron with dry ice and more. I'm so mad I forgot to take a picture of all the fun food! Everyone dressed up as a couple. James and I were purple and green grapes. Mary and Casey were a witch and her broom. Dani and Dave were a witch and her cat. Shelley and Kimball were salt and pepper. Jonni and Chris were Nayda Suleman (octuplets mom) and her doctor Dr. Kamrava. Britt and Katies husbands couldn't make it so they came together as the biggest losers (won the costume contest.) Colton came as a biker dude. We played some fun games and we even learned the "Thriller" dance. Yes of course everyone threw a little fit at first about having to learn a dance, but it turned out really funny. The guys were hilarious to watch and I just had to post them dancing. I will probably be killed later but it was worth it! Thanks to everyone that came!!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch with the Bates family and let the girls pick out a pumpkin. It was fun I have never been there before. We are definitely making it a family tradition to go every year now. Jaylee was so interested in her pumpkin for the family picture we could not get her to look up at the camera and this is the only one that Sheridyn didn't have her pumpkin right in front of her face! We are a very photogenic family. haha!

My Baby Can Whistle

So Jaylee has a new trick she can whistle! I've never heard of a one year old that can whistle it is so funny. Well one of her favorite words is "Dog" but now she has added a whistle at the end. Today I caught it on camera. She was in the fridge and she found a piece of steak and she was teasing our dog Ty with it. She would yell Dog and then hold it out to him and whistle it was so funny. I got a couple of different videos of her doing it so you guys would believe me that she really can whistle.

Ty's surgery

ty tore his ACL last month when we were camping. he was just running around chasing squirels and things like he always does and came back limping and couldnt put any pressure on his back left leg. so he had to have surgery to have it fixed. poor baby boy his leg looks horrible.

Lagoon

This weekend we went up to Lagoon with my family. It was so fun to have all of us together! We left Saturday morning at 6 am and drove to Lagoon, Jaylee was sick and threw up most of the way. Her stomach finally settled and she slept the rest of the time in the car. When we got to Lagoon I thought for sure it was going to be a bad day, I was afraid Jaylee was going to be upset all day but she was awesome! She napped most of the day and just chilled in the stroller. Sheridyn thoroughly loved all the rides and Lagoona Beach. James and I took our first ride on "Wicked" and it was crazy! It goes straight up and then straight down and then around and around! It was pretty fun, I love roller coasters! Anyways after a fun long day at Lagoon we decided to go eat at a Chinese restaurant. The girls were both so exhausted they fell asleep in the car on the way there. So we carried them in and they both sleep through dinner. I don't think I've ever seen Sheridyn do something like that. Then we stayed the night at a hotel and woke up that morning and went swimming at the pool and went to the mall. I'm so excited we got new cell phones, James got a Droid 2 and I got the LG Ally. We are both liking them but still going through the learning curve of the smart phones! They are great when you can figure out what buttons to push!

Jaylee's One Year Minnie Mouse Birthday Party!

Jaylee turned one this week and we had family and friends over for a fun Minnie Mouse themed party. We made a cute red/white polka dot cake and everyone wore Mickey and Minnie ears. We played a relay game where we split into 3 teams and had a competition to see what team could do "baby" things the fastest. The first person had to crawl across the lawn to pick up a sippy cup and teddy grahams and the next person had to eat and drink it as fast as they could. Then the third person had to do the "stink bug" crawl to pick up different toys that the next person had to put together then the last person wrapped up a little girl in a blanket and ran to the finish line holding her. It was pretty fun everyone was laughing. We ate pizza and cake. It was a lot of fun. Jaylee was so good the whole night and she looked so cute as a little Minnie Mouse. We were sitting outside watching the clouds and this is what our conversation went like today.

Sheridyn: "Mom I want to live with Jesus in the clouds."
Me: "When we get really really old and then we die we get to go live with Jesus."
Sheridyn: "But I want to go live with Jesus now."
Me: "Well you are not really really old so you can't yet."
Sheridyn: (Pause) "I have a good idea, we can go put on really old clothes!"

HAHA How do they come up with this stuff. She is constantly saying fun things I am going to try to be better at documenting them so I can remember this cute stage of her life.

We had a great weekend. We went up to our cabin and stayed, it was beautiful. We went down to my Grandma and Grandpa's house that live in Circleville on Saturday and we went to the parade and games. It was so much fun going to a small town parade, there were only a couple of floats it was mostly horses and four-wheelers, but they threw tons of candy and Sheridyn wasn't getting knocked down by any naughty kids to try and get a piece like she does in Cedar. The best part was the fun games that they played afterwards. Sheridyn and Jaylee loved the little kid games and they won some cute prizes. Then on Monday we came back to Cedar and we went to our parade here. That night we had Mary and Casey over and had pizza, roasted marshmallows and watched the fireworks from our deck. We got to celebrate the 4th of July twice this year!

James and I just celebrated out 8 year anniversary on Monday June 14. We went the "Killers" movie on Saturday and then on Monday my parents did a fun BBQ for us at their house. James got me some a dozen beautiful red roses. I am so happy I have got to be married to my best friend for 8 years. I knew I loved James the day I met him my Junior year of highschool and we have been unseperable since then. We dated for about 2 and a half years before we were married. I know mushy mushy, but it's true! Love you James!

Last night James's little brother Jason returned home from his 2 year LDS mission in Mexico. It was so great to see him! He was so funny, he walked off the plane in a sombrero. After tears, hugs and pictures we all went to Golden Corral for dinner. Jason looks great and is doing really good. He only messed up his English a couple times haha. He brought us home some sweet Aviation sunglasses. We have really missed Jason he is the funnest brother in law. We can't wait to hear all of his mission stories and get to spend more time with him!

On Saturday Sheridyn had her dance recital with OnStage. It was so cute!!! Sheridyn loves to dance and she gets so excited to go to class. She was so cute on stage performing she tried so hard to do all the steps. I was so proud of her, she is one of the youngest girls in her group and she wasn't scared and she just got up on the stage like it was nothing to perform in front of all those people. My mom, dad, Danielle and Colton and James's parents all came to watch. Then we all went to Dairy Queen after to celebrate.

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Mother. I just wanted to say a little bit about how much my Mom means to me. My Mom is a perfect example of the mother I want to be to my kids. She is so selfless, she would do anything for her children. She will also do anything for my Dad, her friends and ward members. She has a beautiful testimony of the Jesus Christ and truly follows his example. Now that I am a Mom I am starting to realize just how much she has really done for me. She is always there for me if I need help with the girls and she is always more than happy to watch them for me. Sheridyn adores her and you can already tell that she is one of Jaylee's favorite people. I am so happy my kids have such a wonderful Grandma that loves to spend time with them and love them. She is the perfect shopping partner, my favorite person to talk to about anything, my coke buddy and even my friends love her and love to hang out with her. I am so lucky to call my mom my best friend, I really don't know what I would do without her. Thank you Mom!

Disneyland

We had so much fun at Disneyland! We went to California for 5 days. I was really dreading the drive all the way from Utah to Cali but the girls were great. We left at 4 in the morning on Wednesday so that they would sleep most of the trip there. Thursday and Friday we went to Disneyland and had a blast. Sheridyn loved seeing all the characters and dressing up as Cinderella. I have never had Sheridyn so tired that she was asking to go have a nap! Jaylee was the perfect baby and loved going on the rides. Saturday we went to Huntington Beach and played in the sand. Sheridyn loved the ocean and looking for seashells. Then Sunday morning we went back to Disneyland for a couple hours before we headed home. It was the perfect time to go we walked on almost every ride and didn't have to wait in a huge line to see Mickey and Minnie. We really had a great vacation.

Everyone loved these cute Minnie Mouse ears! We got compliments everywhere that they wore them.

This last weekend we went camping down to the Kane Beds by Coral Pink Sand Dunes. It was soooo nice I got sunburned!!! My parents got a new Razor 800 it was so much fun. It felt like we were in a race car. James' brother Gerry and Jill came out with their kids for an afternoon and we went and saw the dinosaur tracks and played in the sand. It was a great trip and really nice to get our of the bad weather in Cedar!

I have a lot to catch up on! I can't believe it's been a month since I was on here last. Time is just flying and I don't have a second to do anything! So Jaylee is now 8 months old!! I really can not believe how fast she is growing up. This last month she has learned to sit unsupported. She says Dada and she still says Mama sometimes when she is crying. She loves to pull my hair and put it in her face (hope she grows out of that stage soon or I won't have any hair left) And most importantly she is finally EATING! Like 3 weeks ago she just decided that she was finally ready to eat food. She doesn't want mushy stuff though, she wants little chunks of real food. She is such a sweet heart and loves to smile and laugh.

So Easter was fun. This is the first Easter with Sheridyn that we have ever stayed home. We are usually out camping at the sand dunes. Sheridyn was so excited for the Easter bunny to come. She put her stool up next to the window so she could keep checking outside to see if the Easter bunny had came yet. We waited till the afternoon for the hunt so it would be a little warmer. It was really fun. Then we went to my parent's house and had a yummy Easter dinner and played games and of course we did the "grown ups" Easter egg hunt that is a tradition in my family. I of course threw my little brother Colton's shoes out over the deck so that I could get a head start on the eggs. We really have a blast beating each other to the eggs and playing like we are kids again.

I have been playing Bunko with a group of friends for about 6 years now and tonight was the most amazing night ever! I got a total of 9 Bunkos, I had 14 - 3 of a kinds and my total was 350!! I have never seen anyone get that much before! It was sooooo crazy, I seriously have a sore throat from squealing. In the first 4 round I got 3 of the bunkos and the lucky streak just kept on going the rest of the game! It was the funnest game ever, I think everyone was a little sick of me getting all the Bunkos but I didn't care I was having a blast. I won this cute Easter tree. Thanks for the fun night guys I will never forget it!

We went to Jaylee's check up and she is almost 7 months old. She weighs 14lbs 4oz (10%) and is 26 inches (45%) My biggest concern at this appointment was that she does not eat solid foods very well. She spits out almost everything we feed her and she gets a look on her face like it is disgusting. So I've tried everything I can think of. I tried mixing rice cereal with some baby fruits, breast milk, formula, smashed bananas. Then I tried mixed grain cereal with all of the above. I've tried it thin, thick, in a bottle, in a sippy cup and with a spoon. I've tried giving her just the baby fruits and vegetables without the cereal. The only solid thing she likes to snack on is animal crackers. So I told the Pediatrician this and he just looked at me with a blank stare, like he had never heard of a baby not wanting solid food. So he suggested this, LET HER FEED HERSELF THE CEREAL!! Can I just say it was the biggest mess ever. She did enjoy it though and I think she did eat some of it. Sheridyn was so worried about her making a mess, she was cleaning up around her with a rag. It was pretty funny. Well those of you who know rice cereal it is like glue! So I rinsed her off in the sink and gave her a bath that night and in the morning I still found rice cereal on her! I don't think we will be doing this every night. Anyone ever had this problem with their baby? I could use some suggestions. I really don't want to nurse her the rest of my life and she will not sleep more than 2 -3 hours at time at night because she wants to eat! And she will not take a bottle.

Dumont Sand Dunes

Every year we go to Dumont Sand Dunes in California for Presidents Day with my family and the last couple of years the Bates have come with us. It is so nice to get out of the snow and go play in 75 degree temperature. We love to ride on the sand dunes and enjoy seeing all the cool sand toys people have. If you have never been there it is a sight to see. It is like a mini city, there are tons of people and their trailers camping there, they even have a little shopping place. When it gets dark everyone goes over to "comp hill" and we watch the crazy people ride up the steep sand dune on their 4 wheelers and rails in the dark. This year we stayed the first night in Vegas at Treasure Island. We walked the strip with Sheridyn so she could see the Bellagio and stuff. It was really fun and very nice to stop half way to Dumont on the way down. The way home was really hard to have Sheridyn and Jaylee in the car for 6 hours. We really enjoyed Dumont this year, it was such nice weather the whole time. It was fun to have the Colton back from his mission to come with us, he has been missed the last 2 years.

I really cannot believe that Jaylee will be six months this week!! She is growing up really fast. She can sit unsupported for about a minute. She is still not wanting to eat any solid foods. She gags on rice cereal and I have tried several baby food veggies and fruits and she won't even open her mouth after the first bite. After the first bite of baby food green beans she threw up about an hour later! So I'm just waiting for her to be readyon her own time for solids. She loves her sister Sheridyn, she has this mischievous smile that she only does for Sheridyn. She swats at everything and of course is putting everything she gets her hands on in her mouth! She loves to watch me blow dry my hair, it is so funny she gets so excited about it. She also loves the sound of running water and baths. Jaylee is such a precious blessing to our family. AAAHH nap time!! I have finally got Sheridyn and Jaylee to have their nap at the same time!! Well Jaylee has 3 naps a day still but the longest on is at 2:00 with Sheridyn now! Right now Sheridyn, Jaylee, James and Ty are all asleep, I actually have a couple minutes to myself and honestly I didn't know what to do. So here I am blogging. So Jaylee has discovered her voice in the last couple of weeks. She is such a squealer, today in church I had to leave relief society because she was babbling so loud! I will get a recording of her doing it and post it. It is really the cutest noises I've ever heard but she came get pretty high pitched and loud. I was told she is going to be a singer by one of the ladies in relief society.

Christmas was so much fun this year. Sheridyn was so excited for Santa to come. We stayed at my parents house Christmas Eve and my Dad had her so wired! Every hour or so, they would run outside and see if Santa was on the roof. She loved every minute of it. She even sang Jingle Bells to all of us by herself. She is turning into a little performer. We had all my family together for Christmas, it was so fun. We played games, ate good food, opened presents and watched Christmas Vacation. It was just like when we all lived at home!

Elder Colton Worthen Returned With Honor

My little brother Colton came home on Tuesday! He is reporting his mission at the Cedar Stake Center at 9:00 tomorrow morning! I am so proud of my little bro! He went on an LDS mission to San Jose, California. He is doing so good, he looks great and he has the same great personality. I love him so much and we have all pretty much smothered him since he got home. Sheridyn even loves him and has wanted to see him everyday. She thought it was so cool to see him fly in on a plane. Colton got to meet Jaylee for the first time and Danielle's husband Dave. It is so great to have him home just in time for Christmas!!

The Best Day

Yesterday was seriously one of the funnest days we've had in a while! The last 3 years Sheridyn has been scared to death of Santa. She hasn't wanted anything to do with him and screams her head off if Santa gets to close. Even when she was only 1 month old she screamed when we handed her to Santa!! This year was a whole different story. It is like she is a whole different kid! We started the day with having breakfast with Santa at the Heritage Center. The minute we walked in she saw Santa and wanted to go over to him. He was walking around the room saying hi to all the kids and she shook his hand and told him she wanted a dolly for Christmas. Then the minute that Santa went and sat down in his chair she wanted to go sit on his lap! So we went over there and sat on his lap and told him she wanted a Barbie. It was so cute. Later that afternoon we went to the Storybook Parade. I have never been to this parade and it was so cute! It is seriously a parade that could be on TV. Cedar has really went all out on this parade. Sheridyn loved every minute of it and it was so much fun. They have so many fun characters and elaborate floats. Right after that we went to Santa Land and got to have pictures taken with the princesses. They had so many beautiful trees and decorations. I bet it has taken them all year to set this up. Then we got to have a picture on Santa's lap. After the picture Sheridyn even gave Santa a hug! It was a great day.

Sheridyn turned 3 years old yesterday! I can't believe it has been 3 years. She is growing up fast. We had a little party for her yesterday we invited family and her best friend Lainey. She was so excited all day for her party. We made her cake together that morning. Then when everyone came we made our own personal pizza's, played pin the tail on the donkey, opened presents and then we watched the new Tinkerbell movie. She loved every minute of it, it was a good day.

Jaylee is laughing!! She did her first laugh last week, I was playing with her with a stuffed monkey and she giggled. It was so cute! Then this week I got her second laugh on video!! It was first thing in the morning and Sheridyn's hair was wild! So she was saying "rarrr" to Jaylee and she thought it was so funny. You have to listen really close and you might have to turn up your volume but you can hear Jaylee laugh at the end.

My sweet little pumpkin!

This is Sheridyn and her friend Lainey. They went to the carnival at East Elementary. They held hands the whole time. They were so cute and had a blast playing all the fun games. They are the cutest little friends.

For Family night we carved pumpkins and decorated cookies. Sheridyn loved it!

James and I had a little Halloween party at our house this year. We all dressed up as couples and played games and ate yummy food. We all had a blast. Danielle and Dave dressed up as Emo's. Mary and Casey were little red riding hood and a lumber jack and James and I were Polygamists.

My birthday this year was pretty crazy. First I wake up to about 3-4 inches of snow on the ground! Not my favorite thing. Then some friends took me to lunch and on my way there my car was pulling a little, but I thought it was just all the snow and water on the road. Well when I got to the restaurant I was getting the girls out of the car and saw that I had a flat tire! Come to find out at the tire place that they can not fix the tire because I drove on it. I was so mad my tires are $170 a piece. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. Later I went to dinner with my family and when we were getting ready to leave I dumped my drink all over the baby car seat! Thank heavens I had her canopy on or it would have been all over Jaylee. So we head out to the car and we start driving off and here comes my leftover food down the windshield! I had forgot and left it on top of the car. So James pulled over and I was about to get out and get it and the windshield wipers got it and smashed my Costa Vida salad all over the window! James and I were laughing so hard we were crying. It was a pretty amazing day. Oh well, i guess it just happens all at once. I did have fun with my friends and family and I got some sweet presents so it was all good!

Pumpkin Fest

This weekend we went to the Pumpkin Fest, it was so much fun. Sheridyn loved every minute of it. She bowled with pumpkins, played in leaves, decorated a cookie, face painting, pumpkin decorating, ate donuts off a string and more! It was only $5 it was a blast. Then right after we were done we watched some of the parade and then went to PF for lunch. Sheridyn was so exhausted she fell asleep on the way home. James and I even had a nap! It was a great Saturday.

Every year my work has a pumpkin decorating contest. So this year we made a beaded pumpkin with cute little beaded spiders. Sheridyn loved putting beads on the wires, she sat there for over an hour doing it. I was pretty impressed that she could put the little hole on the bead through the wire. She has some awesome fine motor skills. I tried to get my 4-5 year olds in my primary class to bead bracelets once and some of them couldn't even do it. She loves to do little detailed things like that though.

I can't believe Jaylee will be two months old tomorrow! Time Flies. She is getting so big, I really forgot how fast they grow in the first few months. It just seems like she is a baby now, not a newborn. She smiles so much and she is making so many new noises. She is getting really close to laughing. Jaylee is such a good baby. She hardly fusses at all, she sleeps through the night just gets up to eat a couple times. I really feel so spoiled with her, she is so good and healthy. I am so blessed to have such beautiful girls!!

Cabin Trip

Wow the mountain was soooo beautiful this weekend. James had a muzzle loader tag but he got his deer the first day! James never does that! He always waits to find a bigger deer and then we rarely end up with one. But he shot a nice 4x6 up on the mountain opening day. So we went up to our cabin and just relaxed, the weather was perfect and the trees were so pretty and yellow! Jaylee was an angel as usual. We just had a great time. We got a good load of wood on Friday with my Grandpa Coates the first day. Then that night my parents came up and we watched a movie. The next morning James and my dad went and got another good load of wood, while my mom, the girls and I just played at the cabin. We took rides in the truck looking at all the beautiful scenery and just really enjoyed ourselves.

Balloon Fun

This weekend we went hot air balloon chasing. Sheridyn loved it. Our dog Ty on the other hand hated it! He is scared to death of balloons along with about a million other things like clothes hampers, fireworks etc. So when he saw the huge balloon he wouldn't stop barking! Then we headed over to the Skyfest at the park and Sheridyn got to sit in the drivers seat of a plane. It was pretty fun.

I finally got around to taking some pictures of Jaylee in her blessing dress! She wore the same dress that I was blessed in. I thought it was special, I'm so happy my mom kept things like that around! I have a couple other baby doll dresses that my mom saved from the 80's and I think they are so cute. I have a vintage baby:) J/K I took some fun pics of Sheridyn and Jaylee in their matching clothes. I love the way green looks on these girls with their pretty blue eyes. I just couldn't stop taking pictures. I had to finally stop after bribing Sheridyn with popsicles for too long and she wasn't interested anymore.

Jaylee started smiling this week! It was on Labor Day after the parade and my mom was holding her and she smiled at her. I got a picture of it!! Then the next day I took a video of her doing it. I also posted some other fun things that I've been meaning to put on here.

We went to DQ with some friends and Sheridyn and Lainey were not very sure about "The Boy" (Jordan) they were leaning as far away as possible from him and Sheridyn was "protecting" Lainey from him. It was really funny we laughed about it the whole time.

Sheridyn and James slept out on the trampoline the other night. It was really fun we set up the little TV out there and ate popcorn and watched a movie. I loved times like this when I was growing up.

This is soooo funny. Sheridyn thinks that Jaylee is giving her kisses!! How sweet.

Sheridyn absolutely LOVES my Dad. How could she not? He is like a big kid! They had a blast playing in the pool together and laying in the sun to warm up after. I almost forgot to mention the funniest part of that day! After we got Sheridyn in her dry clothes she went back outside to help empty the pool. Well she sat in the water! We had promised her that we would take her to DQ for some ice cream and we didn't have any extra pants. So you see the little green "newborn" shorts on Jaylee below! Yes, Sheridyn fit in them! They were really short but it was better than nothing! That little skinny minny!!

We are so happy she is here with us. She is such a precious blessing. We love her so much, James couldn't be any prouder and Sheridyn is in love with her. She is being such a cute big sister.

Swimming Lessons

Sheridyn and I did the "Mommy and Me" class the last two weeks at the pool. It was a lot of fun for both of us. She loves the water and she did so good. It felt good for me to get in the pool and cool off too! I think I have a little fish on my hands!

We got Sheridyn this microphone and her favorite thing to do is sing for us. She is so funny she gets so in to it. She closes her eyes and everything. Then when she's all done she gives a huge smile and says "Thanks." It is so funny.

The fourth of July was fun. We headed up to our cabin and then went down to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for the parade. It was really fun they had tons of candy and fun games for her to play. I love this pic of her with her hand on her heart!

NEW TRAMPOLINE

I have a few things I need to catch up on! So this is kind of a long blog! We got Sheridyn a trampoline and she loves it! Thanks to the help of my parents and some neighbors we finally got the thing put together!!! She is really enjoying it though, it was definitely worth it LOOK AT THAT HAPPY FACE!

FUN WITH THE BATES

We went over to the Bates house and had a BBQ and the girls played in their kiddie pool. It was a lot of fun, the girls loved it until Casey decided to splash them in the face then they were a little mad. It was pretty fun and good food. Thanks guys!

I really have the greatest mom ever! She came over to help me put up some vinyl lettering in Sheridyn's room, because everyone insists that the pregnant girl can't get up on a latter! Weekend Fun

This weekend we went up north for my brother-in-law Dillon's wedding. Friday morning we went to the Timpanogas temple where they were sealed. Then we went to a luncheon and Sheridyn got to play with some cousins. Then we went on the tour of the new Oquirrh Temple. It was beautiful the Celestial room is sooooo pretty it is like 40 feet high with this gorgeous chandelier that is about 25 feet long hanging down from the ceiling. Right after that we went to dinner at Olive Garden with our friends Scott and Christie and her sister and fiance. Then after all of that we went back to the motel and went swimming!! It was a pretty long day for all of us. Saturday morning we got up and went to the Zoo. Sheridyn loved it! It rained on us pretty much the whole time, but she could care less. She loved all the monkeys. She wouldn't just say there's a giraffe she would have to say there is a Mommy giraffe or a Baby giraffe. We had fun.

Yummy New Recipes

I decided to try some new recipes that I had found on the internet and they both turned out pretty good! I thought I would share them with you guys. I liked them because the ingredients were things that I mostly had in my kitchen anyways. I hate the recipes that have all these weird ingredients that I don't want to go out and buy.

Lasagna Roll Ups

1 lb. ground beef

1 jar (26 oz.) spaghetti sauce

1/4 cup A.1. Original Steak Sauce (optional)

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 cup (8 oz.) ricotta cheese

1/2 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided

9 lasagna noodles, cooked, drained

2 cups KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese, divided

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Brown meat in skillet on medium-high heat; drain. Combine spaghetti sauce and steak sauce. Remove half of the sauce mixture; stir into meat in skillet. Set remaining sauce mixture aside for later use.

MIX egg, ricotta cheese and 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese. Spread each noodle with 2 heaping tablespoonfuls of the ricotta mixture. Top evenly with a scant 1/4 cup meat mixture and 2 heaping Tbsp. mozzarella cheese. Roll up each noodle, starting at one of the short ends. Place in greased 8-inch square baking dish. Pour remaining sauce mixture over noodles. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses; cover with foil.

BAKE 45 min. or until hot and bubbly.

Crock Pot BBQ Chicken

3 chicken breasts (or 2-4 depending on your preference)
one 12 oz. bottle bbq sauce (that's 1 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup Italian dressing (I prefer Kraft Italian)
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 T Worcestershire sauce

Rice to put bbq chicken on (unless you'd prefer to have it on a salad or in a white corn tortilla wrap)

Directions

1. Put everything in crockpot and cook on low 6-8 hours (or high 3-4).
2. Shred chicken when there's 15-30 minutes left and put back in crockpot.

Just look how cute it is!! I found this lady on ebay that makes these covers for your car seats. I got one made for Sheridyn's seat too. You get to choose your colors and style and she makes them. It has that extra soft minky material on it! I just love it!

3D Movie

Last weekend we went to the new 3D Disney movie "Up" It was really cute. Sheriydn wore her glasses all of 10 minutes for the movie but she still liked it. We went with my friend Mary and her little girl Lainey and her cousins Rhett, Rachel and Bryce and my mom. When we first got to the movie Bryce was saving Sheridyn a seat, and he was so excited to see her. I think he is her first admirer. He is always taking care of her when she is around, he made sure she had popcorn and he tried to keep her wearing her glasses. It was really funny.

James got a new tent for a camping trip he went on last weekend. He wanted to make sure it was all okay so he set it up in the family room. Sheridyn loved it, she had everyone of her stuffed animals and blankets and pillows and she played in there for hours.

Time Flies

I can't believe it's been a month since I blogged last! Time has just flown. Well I'll try and update everyone on the things we've been doing. James built us a beautiful deck off the back of our house. I don't have a pic yet but I'll get one up soon. We've also got our lot all leveled out so we can start finishing the fence and putting a yard in.

My sister Danielle graduated from college!! YEAH DANI! We are so excited for her. We got to attend the graduation ceremony and see President Monson speak and accept a Doctorate degree of Public Service.

Mother's Day was great, James and Sheridyn brought me flowers and a yummy Maggie Moo's ice cream cake. We spent the day with my family and played Rock Band at Danielle's house. It was so much fun, I really want one now!! I was playing the guitar, my mom was playing the drums and Dani was singing. We had a blast. I'll have to record some of us next time, it was pretty funny!

Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that we are alive and doing well. I'll update more often, promise!!

3D Ultrasound

Yesterday was so fun! We went to St. George and had a 3D ultrasound done. The baby was so active and she let us have a couple of good pics of her! We had one of these done on Sheridyn and after she was born I looked back at the 3D pics of her and I could see the resemblance. I'm so excited! Sheridyn was so funny during the ultrasound. I had been telling her all day that we were going to take pictures of Baby Jaylee in Mommy's belly. So when we got there she said, "Say Cheese Baby Jaylee." It was so cute we all started laughing. After we were all done the lady printed out a picture of the baby just for Sheridyn.

At the first of the ultrasound she was putting her hand in front of her face. It was like she knew we wanted a picture of her! You can see her arm and her hand with four perfect little fingers covering her face.

Then she finally showed us! I know that these are a little hard to tell but this is a close up of her face. You can see her nose and eye and lips.
This one you can see her jaw line but she was moving her lips when they took the pic so it's kind of muffled around them, but she has both her hands up by her face. During the ultrasound she kept sucking her thumb.

Friday Mary, Sarah and I went to PF for lunch! It was really fun to have a little bit of girl time.

The Bates' family got some new baby chicks. Sheridyn was so excited to see them! We've been waiting for them for a week!

We went out to dinner with them on Saturday and Lainey and Sheridyn were holding hands on the way in, it was so cute. They got everyone's attention!

There was music playing in the parking lot while we were waiting to be seated and Sheridyn and Lainey were dancing with each other. These two sure know how to put on a show for everyone!

First Movie

Sheridyn went to her first movie yesterday! We went to Monsters vs. Aliens and she was totally entertained the whole movie! I couldn't even get her to look at me for a picture! She is growing up way to fast!

After the movie we headed to try out the new Maggie Moo's in town. It was sooooo good! Just like Cold Stone, I love their waffle cones! Here's a pic of Sheridyn with her favorite Uncle "Bubba."

Yeah we are having another girl! It was so neat to see her today on the ultrasound. The nurse was positive it was a girl. She said that if she came out a boy she would buy it a new outfit! It was so awesome to see her moving around and stretching out her legs. It is so crazy how they are just teeny little babies in there! It's hard to believe that they are only about 6 inches long and look like a baby with fingers and toes and everything! We can't wait for you to join us precious little girl!!!

Potty Training

Sheridyn is doing so well at potty training. I found this great watch online that helps her know when to go. She has been doing excellent. We have been in "big girl" panties for 2 days now!

We went sledding over the weekend with Sheridyn and Lainey. They had a blast they especially liked going down the hill together with Ty the dog!

Cruisin' Baja Mexico

What a nice week away! James and I got to go on a cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico with Mary and Casey. We started out the vacation in Orange, Cali. where we stayed at a motel for 2 nights. Our first adventure was to Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We somehow found our way to this observatory that was on the top of a hill. It was kind of cool and we got our first Hollywood sign picture! Then we drove through Beverly Hills and past the street where the Oscars were being held that night. Then we ended up at Santa Monica Beach. It was a neat day of driving around and seeing the sites. Oh, we can't forget China Town! I think I can speak for all of us when I say we won't be going back there! The next day we headed to the beach in the morning and then on to the cruise ship. We ate way too much food and had a blast. The next morning we woke up in Catalina Island with 70 degree weather and I laid out most of the day. It was the perfect temp. Ensenada was the following day and it was a little scary! The minute we got off the tour bus this truck full of Mexican soldiers and their assault rifles were driving down the street. That wasn't the only truck we saw like that that day either!! We bargained with the Mexicans and got our "good deals." James couldn't stop laughing at the guy that kept telling him the sunglasses he was looking at were "almost free!" The last day was on the ship and we went dancing, hot tubbing, and just relaxed. It was a good vacation. It was really hard leaving Sheridyn for that long, and I was missing her a lot. So it's good to be back!

Fun in the Sun

Yes, I know you are all jealous. I did get some fun in the sun over President's day weekend. My family went to Dumont Dunes in California. This is our third year in a row going to Dumont and we love it. This year our friends Casey and Mary and their little girl came with us. It was really fun to have them there. The sand dunes there are HUGE and we can't get enough of it.

Wednesday night we stayed over in Mesquite and had dinner at the Virgin River Casino. Sheridyn is all decked out in her Valentine's day outfit.

Then we traveled the rest of the way to Dumont the next morning. We got there and it was like 65 degrees and it was so nice. We played on the sand all day. Then when we woke up it was still pretty nice but it was a little windy so we mostly played at the camp.
We bought Sheridyn so baby goggles down there surprisingly she left them on for a little while. I know they help keep the sand out of her eyes.
But when we woke up of Saturday it was beautiful again and we played, played, played. It was so nice to get out of the snow and have fun. It gave me a little "Spring Fever" though, and when we came home to snow I was sad.

CPCS Update

This is a link to the updates they have made on the lead law. Now they are saying that resellers are not affected by this law as long as you are not trying to sale an item that has been recalled. That definitely clarifies SOME parts of the new law. Still small businesses like my Baby Blossom Biz, the update does not clarify a lot of questions that I have. Hopefully this lead law just doesn't get out of control. I will keep us all updated as it progresses. I'm just glad they put a hold on the law for now, so that they can clarify things!!!! Hopefully.....

Sheridyn's New Do & Mad at Congress

I'm so excited Sheridyn's hair is finally getting long enough to play with! We have been waiting for 2 years! She is so patient with me and lets me play with it and do all sorts of things. by the way, when you go to her blog scroll down to the very bottom of her first page and read about the "February 10th" issue. Luckily they have put this law on hold for another year for revisions, but still we need to fight it! I along with many many others will be out of business, due to the costs of lead testing. The law is very outrages and would make it so you couldn't even sale your used baby items in a garage sale without having it tested for lead which costs 100's of dollars per item! Everyone needs to fight the Consumer Product Safety Commission on this law from passing even if you don't have a baby store. It affects everybody, and prices for baby items are going to skyrocket!!! I can't believe that congress would try to pass something this crazy, especially during such hard times for everyone right now. I understand the concern of lead in some baby toys that are from China, but to have every item (even material, thread, ribbon etc.) that is handmade here in America have to be tested for lead is crazy. The only way to let ourselves be heard to is write our congressman, Jim Matheson. Here is the website to do that

First Dance Lesson

Sheridyn started dance classes

Sheridyn had her first dance lesson on Wednesday. She was so excited to wear her tutu that I made her and "twirl." She was a little timid at first but then she got into it. She was having a lot of fun until one of the other girls accidentally hit her when she was doing a turn and then she was done. She said she had fun though and she wants to go next week! She was so cute and she actually caught on to the moves pretty good.

Ty had a hair cut!

He has needed one pretty bad for the last couple of months, here are the before and afters. We had to put a sweater on him though because he was shaking like crazy.
